This piece was about…creating the illusion of distance,
and
giving the viewer the same sensation I felt when I was there,
that of being on
to of the world.
The painting technique was inspired by a cover illustration
by
John Berkey for the book “SLIDE”.
Yes it’s true…while painting the artwork and trying to come
up with a title,
I heard an ad on the radio for a band called “A Day to
Remember”,
and I thought, well that takes care of that.
