This piece was about…textures. I like the contrast of the rough foliage 

to the smooth water.  

In this painting, I believe I had done my most accurate foliage rendering.  

Usually I go looser with it.

Yes it’s true…this painting took a while to finish, 

and I wasn’t sure it was going to work until it was done.
