(Commuter Ferry docked behind San Francisco's Ferry Building.)  
This piece was about…achieving a tight & accurate rendering of the boat & dock.  
The water and background are a little out of focus to make the ferry look even sharper.  
The composition is designed to create a forced perspective,
leading the eye to the end of the boat.  
The pallet is almost monochromatic cool grey, 
with the exception of the warm cabin lights that beckon you in.
Yes it’s true…this ferry goes to Vallejo, not Larkspur Landing, 
but I liked the sound of Larkspur better.
